Issue 15: Into the Maze

By Helen LING (ELED Year 2, 2013-2014)

Looking for something, something unknown
Unknown egress shrouded in wild grass grown
Grown is the path stretching to nowhere
Nowhere is nothing to be scared of.

Looking for something, something unknown.

Left or right, recede or proceed.
Proceed until your limbs grazed
Grazes are nothing to be scared of
For the scar is the remembrance.

Looking for something, something unknown.

Breathe, no air is ever that fresh.
Listen, no silence is ever that loud.
Look, no darkness is ever that clear.
Run, no panting is ever that loved…

For I know, ahead sees a rainbow
That is where I have to go. Now I know.
